dodi found another stupid way to quit smoking that just might work

day three

two of my friends convinced me to use blogging software for this page. i gave in yesterday. lyn is really into making this page more than i do. hahaha! anyway so i guess there will be guestbooks or comments and nice update posts and lots of usual blog stuff.

anyway today was a real test. our supposedly whole-day training was done before lunch and we had to burn five hours. you might have heard that with each stick you smoke, you burn days/weeks/months/years/insert-unit-of-time of your life away. that is so true because i burn time by burning my lungs. if you have other people smoking with you, you would probably be talking and laughing a lot and probably be drinking some kind of beverage also. when you are in this situation, the yosi sometimes feel to be burning faster than usual. so you light another one. now you’re a chain-smoker. so if you want to be conservative with smoking, STFU while you do it. do not waste the blood, sweat and tears of the tobacco farmer! this doesn’t apply to people who usually smoke alone though. now the funny thing with smoking alone is that the yosi gets a bit more concentrated or has more impact. the yosi is harder to finish, you feel like the smoke is so thick when you inhale it and you get saturated quicker than usual. eventhough i have a nose of a warthog i still experience this phenomenon. i don’t know how to explain it but i think the more smokers around, the faster the sticks go. smokers are unconsciously competitive. smoking alone has no challenge, smoking with 2-4 people is like a normal race. smoking with 5 or more is a formula 1 grand prix. remember those times where you and your officemates hang out at a restaurant or a bar and all you smoke afterwards. you all start at the same time, then some would immediately start on another stick when they finish the first, while the others usually pace themselves but will eventually smoke more sticks in the end. well i guess that would be a good thing.

by the way, i was able to resist the urge today. just distracted myself by talking with my officemates about nonsense and slept a bit. i’m lucky a lot of them don’t smoke. i have to be ready for these unexpected events.
